Harvey Training Academy offer PBS General Services courses that are certified as meeting RRN standards by Bild
Association of Certified Training (ACT).

Our aims for this course are to provide safe & effective strategies for people who may be faced with challenging or aggressive situations. We offer PMVA courses through PBS General Services and meet the restraint reduction network (RRN) standards as a member of PBS General Services Co-operative.


The GSA approved PMVA 3 day training course has the following objectives/outcomes:

• Health & Safety Legislation and requirements

• The Law (legal considerations)

• Demonstrate increased level of awareness & understanding of strategies for prevention of physical / verbal aggression

• Demonstrate developed & practiced communication skills

• Demonstrate effective practical intervention techniques

• Associated risks with safe holding and restraint

• Demonstrate increased confidence & awareness of own personal safety

• Post incident management

• Report writing
